PIECES partners from the University of Medicine in Tirana (Albania) had the opportunity to present the project at the First International Congress of Health Sciences in Tirana, an event that brought together leading voices in medical research, education and public health from across the region.
Representing the Albanian team. Prof. Gentiana Qirjako presented the overall objectives of the project, its international consortium and the progress made so far. Particular emphasis was placed on the Primary Cancer Prevention Implementation Toolkit (PCP-IT) – the cornerstone of the project – and the adaptation of evidence-based cancer prevention programmes to the local context.
The session drew a highly engaged audience of academics, students, and healthcare professionals, who expressed strong interest in the toolkit’s potential to bolster cancer prevention efforts nationwide.
