We will evaluate the performance of the PCP-IT in implementing evidence-based programmes (EPBs) for primary prevention of cancer by assessing key implementation outcomes, including acceptability, feasibility, adoption, and sustainability of EBPs in implementation sites. The toolkit will be implemented and evaluated in 10 countries with diverse socio-cultural backgrounds and access to up to 77.7 million people.

Part of the added value of PIECES relies on the diversity of implementation sites included in the consortium, which are providing a complete representation of healthcare systems in Europe and beyond covering Spain, the Netherlands, Albania, the United Kingdom, Italy, Ukraine, Germany, and Australia. By taking advantage into ongoing implementation and upscaling activities (including a broad range of settings and interventions) PIECES achieves an extensive multi-site case-comparison study to explore the causal contribution and attribution of PCP-IT to the observed implementation outcomes.
