The Prevention and Early Detection (P&ED) Cluster – Implementation Research, formed by PIECES and five other European projects focused on cancer prevention, will host its first Round Table event this September during the Annual Cluster Meeting in Barcelona, Spain.
This special event, open to a wider audience, offers a unique opportunity to:
- Discover the six European projects that form the Cluster: CO-CAPTAIN, PREVENT, PIECES, 4P-CAN, CPW, and ONCODIR.
- Understand how each project contributes to reducing the burden of cancer in Europe by addressing key risk factors through the lens of Implementation Science.
- Connect with leading researchers, innovators, and stakeholders in the field of cancer prevention.
The P&ED Cluster represents a collaborative effort to coordinate and align the work of six distinct projects, each tackling different aspects of cancer prevention—from mental health to occupational health surveillance. Together, these initiatives are working to integrate primary prevention strategies into existing health systems, using diverse methodologies tailored to various populations and settings.
This joint approach aims to amplify societal and policy impact, contributing to the overarching goals of the EU Mission on Cancer: improving cancer prevention, enabling early detection, and ultimately enhancing the quality of life for citizens across Europe.
