On 4 February, World Cancer Day, the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) organised a project showcase on ‘Fostering synergies to beat cancer: The impact of EU-funded projects’. Among other outstanding initiatives, the PIECES project had the opportunity to be showcased in the projects screen section to
The event brought together representatives of EU-funded cancer projects, NGOs, health organisations working in the field of cancer, policy makers and researchers from across the continent to demonstrate how European-funded projects are making an impact on cancer research. More than 200 people attended the event in person and nearly 500 participated online.
The main objective of the PIECES project is to improve the reach and effectiveness of primary prevention programmes by developing and testing an innovative toolkit, known as the PCP Integrated Implementation Toolkit (PCP-IT), to guide and support users in the selection, adaptation and implementation of cancer prevention programmes.
